Whilst you’ve got so much free time on your hands, there’s never been a better time to stay connected with your clients. Being there for them during this time will only strengthen their loyalty to you which, after this pandemic is over, you will need more than ever to recoup the earnings you have missed out on.
So again, we put it to our team here, and asked, “What are the things that us Salon Owners should be doing to keep connected with our clients?” And here’s our game plan!
#1 Post daily on each platform to provide updates and just be visible to your clients during this time.
Being stuck at home has meant I have found myself scrolling through Instagram and Facebook more frequently and I’m presuming you are as well? So, what do you think our clients are doing?
With more free time at home, social media usage is ever-increasing which means there is a huge opportunity to grow your brand.
#2 Birthday Emails, after all, we still need to celebrate.
We don’t know how long this may go on for but don’t forget, (like some of you) many people will have their birthdays throughout these months.
By keeping your birthday emails going and changing the expiry date on some of the promotions, this will go a long way to making someone’s day if they are housebound on their birthday!
#3 This one is my personal favourites and I know some salons are already doing it.
Reach out to clients on social media, email or whatever medium you choose, to give online tutorials. Use it to demonstrate how they can look after their hair at home. As hairdressers, this is what we do best.
#4 Call your clients
Yes, this may seem a little controversial, but we are in unknown times.
It takes just a 5 or 10 minute phone call, hearing a familiar voice such as a stylist/therapist will put a smile on someone’s face.
Why not pop a post on your social media platform or send an email reminding your clients that you are there for them should they need it?
#5 Using the same products
Many suppliers, like ours, are offering a home delivery service. Keeping things as normal as possible, such as using your favourite shampoo and conditioner can really help.
If you are able to offer this service to your clients, then make sure you let them know. Check with your suppliers and make sure they can fulfil any orders you place and can send them directly to clients for you.
Make sure you pop back to our blog for more advice and tips during this time!
