Where Have My Clients Gone?

E-blast Lapsed Clients
With us coming towards the end of November your bookings for December should now be filling up nice and quickly with limited availability left for your top stylsist and therapists.

But what about those clients that have not been into the salon before or those that you have forgotten about? As we all lead such busy lives it is easy to forget about looking after ourselves, even if it means taking just 1 hour out of your day, a gentle remider about our next hair cut or massage is sometimes all it takes.

Using Salon iQ to send out to reach out to Clients
Using Salon iQ you can easily find out how many clients have not been to the salon in a given period. You can also break this down into particular categories, for example:
– Male/Female
– Last Visit
– Purchased Retail
– Salon
– Has Future Bookings
– No Future Bookings
– Had a certain service
– Service Spend
– Retail Spend
-Points Balance
– Had Promotion
– Client Birthday

The aim of targeting lapsed clients is to re-introduce them back into the salon, blow them away, rebook them straight back in and have them as a regular client again.

There are many ways you can introduce them back into your salon such as giving a courtesy call, sending out an E-blast or an SMS.

Pros and Cons on Certain Methods
There are pros and cons to each of these methods.

Courtesy Call
This is a very direct way of contacting your client and gives you answers straight away, however, it can at times to some clients feel a little intimidating or too confrontational.

E-blast
I feel is a great way of reaching out to the clients you have lost. You can word the email correctly, use eye catching images to get their attention plus you have an unlimited word count, so it can be as long or short as you wish.

SMS
Again another great way to have almost instant contact with your clients, however, you are fairly limited to the number of characters you can use if you want to keep the spend own on SMS.

Do I need to add a promotion within the E-blast?

This really does all depend on who your are targetting. If your client selections are picking out those that have not been to your salon in a while, then you may need to persuade them to come back using a promotion that is going to appeal to them.

The majority of the time, just a gentle remidner to say ‘We have not seen you in a while…’ is all it takes.
When Should I Send out the Email?
What’s the first thing you do when you wake up? Do you plan out your day in your head or lie in bed and contemplate life? For the majority of people it is neither of those options.

Studies show 61% of people check their phones 5 minutes after waking up.

Recent reports shows as of 2017 that later in the evening and early in the morning are the best times to send out your email marketing campaigns.
